Rivers, Trails and Ales Festival August 9-12th!

Happing in historic downtown Marietta, OH is the 8th annual Rivers, Trails and Ales Festival. The RTA Festival is a down-home celebration of paddling, road & mountain biking, and fine local ales.During the festival, visitors will find information about local cycling and paddling - resources that can be used year-round. Free group bike rides, paddling events, and other fun activities such as the bicycle parade, the paddlers dice run, and the tortoise and hare world championship all happen during the weekend - all of which is simply to have an excuse to adventure together in our fun historic town. Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to cycle or paddle during the day, and then join back together in historic downtown Marietta to visit local shops and restaurants.

Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day 10/11th 9:30am
Each fall, the River Valley Mountain Bike Association hosts Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day on the City Trails in Marietta, OH. This event is one of the highlights of our year and a great opportunity for kids of all ages to try out mountain biking. Fun for all, and pizza + prizes including a Specialized kids mountain bike give-away after!!

Marietta Middle School in Marietta Ohio. Driveway to Middle School is located at 7th and Putnam. Park at top of hill. Several different routes will be used in the Marietta City Trail System.

Monday night is Bike Night! Group Rides!

Make Monday night BIKE NIGHT! Meet at the city parking lot on 2nd & Butler (behind CVS) for a group ride every Monday night (weather permitting). Schedule rotates as follows. Check our facebook page for up-to-date info: www.facebook.com/mariettaadventureco
1st Monday: Group Road Ride (15-25 miles): 6pm
2nd Monday: Womens Mountain Bike City Trail Ride: 6pm
3rd Monday: Group Beginner MTB City Trail Ride: 6pm
4th Monday (& 5th, if there is one): Group MTB City Trail "Pub" Ride: 6pm
All rides conclude with an optional trip to Bike Night (Pedal-Pusher edition) @ the Marietta Brewing Company! Discounts on pitchers and appetizers for all riders! Save your receipt and turn it in at our shop to be entered for Adventure Co. give-aways! Even if you don't join us on the group ride, ride your bike around town and join us at the Brewery Bike Night after!

Marietta River Rendezous planned June 7&8th
Join the Marietta Rowing & Cycling Club for a ride in the rolling hills of southeast Ohio. Start at Duncan Falls, just southeast of Zanesville, Ohio. This 65 mile ride follows the scenic Muskingum River on lightly traveled roads. Spend the night in Marietta Saturday and return.

Marietta Trail Maintenence Fund Established!
November 12, 2014
The Rivers Trails and Ales Festival presented a donation of $500 as an establishing fund for the Marietta Trail Maintenance Fund at the Marietta Community Foundation. The goal of the MTMF is to fund once-a-year annual contracted maintenance of the trails to supplement the year-round efforts of River Valley Mountain Bike Association volunteers.

Halloween Ghost Ride a Success!

The first annual costumed "Ghost Ride" was a success! 25 costumed riders, aged 3-300 showed up to ride a full lap on the newly extended Marietta Bike Path.

Marietta River Trail Bike Path extended by 1 mile!

Completion of the 1-mile third phase of the bike path extended the total River Trail length, from Indian Acres Park to the intersection of East Eighth and Jefferson streets, to approximately 3.5 miles.
The River Trail is a two lane paved path following the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers used for biking, running, and walking.
